It started with a conversation about fashion, culture, and community. The next thing you know, 3DM was born!
The Faces of 3DM
Dr. Nini is a multi-award-winning scientist, community leader, and cultural advocate. She served as a nuclear scientist with the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna and as Chief of Nuclear Chemistry Research for the Philippine Atomic Energy Commission in Manila. She is the founder of the Miss Asian Festival, Miss Asia Carolinas, Asian Music & Dance Festival, and Search for Best Performing Arts. Dr. Nini is Chairman Emerita and former President of the Carolinas Asian American Chamber of Commerce (CAACC), Founding Chairman of Filipino American Spirit (FAS), Chairman of the Asian American Foundation of the Carolinas, and has served on the boards of numerous organizations, including Opera Carolina, UNC Charlotte, International House, Leadership Charlotte, and United Way.

Jo Hayes, owner of Jo Hayes Images, is a Charlotte-based professional photographer specializing in event photography and portraiture. Passionate about storytelling, she captures authentic moments that celebrate people, culture, and community. Bringing together her love of fashion photography and her Asian heritage, she helped create "Woven": The Fashion Story of Asia. This dream project celebrates the richness and diversity of Asian cultures while preserving and showcasing traditional fashion on and off the runway.

Kaovny Jonas is the CEO and Co-Founder of the Cambodian Legacy Project and a passionate advocate for cultural preservation, community leadership, and Asian American representation. As a Sino-Cambodian American, mother, and community leader, she is committed to creating opportunities for cultural traditions and stories to be celebrated and passed on to future generations. Kaovny is proud to help bring the "Woven" Fashion Show to life—showcasing the beauty, strength, and diversity of Asian cultures through fashion.
