Meet Jo
Hi! I’m Jo, a Charlotte-based photographer with over a decade of experience, combining the editorial with the personal. Since moving to Charlotte three years ago and diving into photography full time, it’s been an incredible journey.
What sets my work apart is my genuine approach and ability to connect with my clients. I believe the best photos come from authenticity and comfort, so I strive to create a relaxed atmosphere where you can truly be yourself. Whether we're in the studio, on the runway, or out on location — I'm all in.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m exploring local coffee shops, cheering on my boys at their basketball games, creating hand-painted cards, and spending time with family and friends. I can’t wait to meet you and capture something truly special—see you behind the lens!
The Charlotte Fashion Collective Photographer of the Year 2024
I was deeply honored to be named Photographer of the Year 2024 at the Sound of Fashion Show by the Charlotte Fashion Collective. To say I was surprised is an understatement! Thank you to the CFC community of models, photographers, designers, and families. Working alongside such inspiring and positive people in an environment that feels like family is a gift!

The 2025 Carolina Fashion Awards Photographer of the Year
Full circle moment! Two years ago, I was new to the Charlotte fashion community, new to the Charlotte Fashion Collective, and Todd invited me to the Carolina Fashion Awards. I was in awe of the fashion and creative community celebrating together in the Carolinas.
Fast forward to May 2025, I was recognized as the 2025 Carolina Fashion Awards Photographer of the Year…unreal, mind blown, did I manifest this?! Knowing that this award is from peer nominations and community recognition means everything to me.
I’m thankful for so many things - the unwavering support of family and friends, photographers that inspire me to create and grow, and the countless lovely humans that I get to collaborate with in front of my lens.
This is for that big hair high school girl in the 90s who had multiple subscriptions to Seventeen, YM, and Teen Vogue magazine and dreamed of one day being a part of the fashion world!
