As a fashion photographer, I’m often focused on lighting, angles, backdrops, and expressions. But during a recent portrait session, something beautiful kept catching my eye, a pattern, and before you know it, I was onto something. Off-camera moments filled with gentle hands adjusting outfits, smoothing flyaways, and lots of makeup checks. Moms were there, quietly making it happen behind the scenes.
Moms showing up, supporting their children, and doing what they do best… nurturing.
I was curious to see what would happen if I turned the camera on them.
So I invited the moms as they are. Some came alone, some brought their children (or their children ran to them), and some had a friend for support. A few were hesitant, but they stepped in anyway (for that, I am truly grateful). And something incredible unfolded.
There were smiles, strength, love, and ease. They were present in the moment. I’m so glad I got to share how I saw them with the world.
This photoshoot turned into a celebration.
To the quiet directors of our lives—fixing, encouraging, supporting, loving. And when we ask them to step forward, to be seen and honored, they do it with grace—even when it’s outside their comfort zone.
Through this collection of portraits, I hope to honor and uplift you—and remind you that you are seen.
To all the mamas out there... Thank you for showing up!

I know what it’s like to be behind the camera, behind the scenes, behind everyone. So to witness these moms step into the spotlight was powerful and a gift!
As a photographer and a mom, this project was personal. I hope I was able to show these women how I see them - amazing, kind, and cool.
I love that I get to do what I do and shine a spotlight on you!
